I don't feel the need to allow memberships on this website. ( Even though it does support it ). I also do not want to just create a system that allows commenting without some sort of checks and balances to cut down on spammers. Instead of wasting a lot of time creating my own I've decided to give the Disqus system a try.
The basic system is free and I think it should cover my needs without having to purchase a plan. I will continue to give updates on the system and the pros and cons I find. It is very simple to install. You simply go to their site and register and they will provide you a small snippet of coding to add to your website to display the comments. They have plugins for all major CMS platforms as well as a universal one for people with their own system like myself.
